Am i a brandwhore??

Hi, my mame is Anna-Carolina and i have an obsession with gorgeous, overly expenive designer handbags. Is it just me or does a handbag automatically get way more desirable once you see the price tag and see, that it is a) by a very great designer, b) worn by many celebrities, c) ridicilously overprized, and therfore d) 100% unavailable to me. Yes, i know it's kind of pathetic. The sad part is, that i would probably not look at it twice if it was a cheap knock-off. I care more about the idea, the Image, than the actual bag. It looks like i have become a -and i am sorry bu there is no other way to say it- Brandwhore. Which would not be such a bad thing if i was rich and able to afford any of the stuff i obsess over. But i am not, and i can't. I am not trying to make the readers of this post feel sorry for me at all because i know that technically, i have nothing to complain about. I am well aware that there are many people who have way, way less and struggle to survive. I know all of that. But being human, and i have to admit a rather materialistic person, i let myself be blinded by all things shiny and pretty.
But, let's return to handbags. Here is my top 5 list of bags (in no particular order) that i would probably kill for.

1) YSL "Roadie"
2) Stella McCartney "Fallabella"
3) Marc by Marc jacobs "Hillier Hobo Large"
4) Alexander Wang Rocko
5) Any bag by balenciaga that is black

Now, as I already mentioned, I am not able to purchase any of the above in my current situation of life. But, who knows what might happen? I just wonder if actually having the bag would make things boring. Like, would i take it for granted and find another even more expensive thing to dream about? Do we need dreams? Does actually achieving your dreams ruin your Imagination? Sort of? I don't know. I don't know if i'll ever find out... But just for now, all i have is my Imagination, cheap knock-offs and my blog, where i can write about things like this.

My dream (rant about me, myself and my future)

I have been thinking a lot about my future lately. Which makes perfect sense, since i am a senior in high school right now. Everyone around me is talking about going off to college and SATs and all that stuff. The thing with me is, that i never ever saw myself as a college student or anything like that.

In the last 4 years i have managed to figure out what i am intersted in. The first thing (pretty obvious, since i have a makeup and fashion blog and a beauty channel on youtube) is makeup. This is something i have loved ever since i was 12 years old. I guess it is just kind of magical to me how you can bring out a persons beauty by putting products on their face (if used properly) and how applying something as simple as mascara can make a person more confident. Which brings me to the second thing i am interested in: Psychology. How people work. How they tick. I have always been a rather introverted, shy person (even though most people in real life might disagree with me on that, since i have gotten pretty good at hiding it). I have also always been a huge observer. I love analizing people, and trying to find out why they do what they do, or how they think. Sometimes i even over-analize.

You know what i would really, really love to do? Give makeovers to young teenage girls. Teach them how to apply makeup that lets their natural beauty shine through. And yes i know how cheesy this sounds, but think about it: you see young girls daily, that pile on makeup to cover themselves up because they are not confident in their own body. Whenever i see a girl like that in public, all i want to do is hug her, tell her she is beautiful and show her how makeup can enhance her beauty, not make her look like a completely different person. But not just the makeup. I want to show young girls that no matter what anyone says (media e.g), they are amazing and beautiful and special even if they don't look like a victorias secet model. And what makes them different makes them special. That looking pretty is nice but that they are more than just a pretty face and body. And trust me, i have been there. I was that awkward, lanky 13 year old girl once that didn't like herself. And honestly, sometimes i still am. But aren't we all?

Now, i know what my dream is but i have NO idea how to get there. That has always been my biggest problem, i am a total dreamer but not a very practical person. I know i really need to figure out what i'll do next year but i am scared. Scared of how hard it might be. Scared that it won't work out anyway. Scared because i don't know whre to begin.

What about you? Do you have any dreams? What are they? Tell me in the comments!

My wishlist for this season!!!

Here is my wishlist for fall! I included Fashion, beauty and one random thing... Enjoy!

Ear cuff/ Ear chain

I am not quite sure about the official name of this thing but i LOVE how it looks and i really need to get one. The best part: you only need one, not two ear piercings for it.

A grey/silver wildfox Heart Jumper

Yes, i know that this is one of the things on my wishlist that is going to remain just that- a wish (since the wildfox jumpers are really, really pricey). Still. I have heard good things about the quality and I LOVE how they look, *sigh*. Oh, did I mention, that Taylor Swift (who is my favorite person EVER) has one of these too?

Short Grey Ugg's

It is starting to get really cold where I live and I want to keep my toes warm and toasty. And from what i have heard, Ugg's are the warmest and most comfortable shoes on this planet. I especially like the short grey ones, I think they will look really good with dark wash skinny jeans and jeggings. But to be honest the only thing i can afford right now are FUggs (Fake Uggs). Still, you never know when a good fairy is going to tell you you've got three wishes. I mean, it could always happen, right? So you better be prepared! :)

Urban Decay Naked2

A few years ago, Urban Decay came out with an eyeshadow palette featuring 12 full size neutral shades. They called it the "Naked Palette. Last year, they released another version of this palette with more cool toned colors and called it the "Naked 2" Palette. I already own the first one and use the heck out of it. So, naturally i am very curious for the second one and I can not wait to try it. I am just not sure if i need both... Oh well :)

OPI "You glitter be good to me"

Since October is breast cancer awareness month OPI came out with this gorgous pink nail polish and is going to donate a lot of money for the cure of breast cancer. And you guys know I just can't resist glittery sparkly nail polish, especially in the colder months.

Bath and Body Works Candles

If you live in the USA and have access to this amazing store, i hope you know how lucky you are. I wish i could try some of their scented candles, since i love burning yummy smelling candles in the fall. Unluckily their website does not ship to europe :(. The one that i want to try most "Salted Caramel".

Lush TWILIGHT SHOWERGEL... Say Whaaaat?

If you have been reading my blog for some time, then you probably know that I am a lush JUNKIE. When i found out that "Twilight", my all time favorite bath bomb from Lush is now available as a shower gel i freaked out!
Twilight bath bomb smells like lavender and is just pure deliciousness. Trust me, if you like lavender as much as i do, you can not go wrong with this scent. Since this product is limited for the halloween/holiday collection i would recommend getting it ASAP. I am going to stock up on this and buy a few bottles (if I can afford it haha :D).
If you want to find out more about this product, go to the Lush Website
I am also going to do a post on this years holiday collection from lush soon, so stay posted for that.

My fall/autumn style

Fall has got to be one of my favorite seasons. I just love the turning leaves, the weather, pumpkin spice latte at starbucks and of course the fashion.

My go-to everyday outfit for this season is pairing dark wash jegings, a comfy sweater or cardigan with a simple camy underneath (all neutral colors). To make the look a little bit more edgy and "me" i love wearing my grey combat boots. And we can not forget about the most important part: a scarf. Scarfs keep you warm and they make your whole look more casual. I actually like wearing scarfs in fun colors too, since my whole look is rather neutral. Another thing i like wearing are "smurf hats". They are super cute and -let's face it- we all have those bad hair days where we just want to hide it a little bit.

So, as you see my style is not anything exciting but it is 100% me :)

I won the Sigma Paris Palette!!!

I still can't believe this is real but i am one of the three winners of a makeup giveaway on youtube (Beautybaby44, she has a blog too, go check her out)! I recieved my price today. I got fair trade m&m chocolate, some nyx cosmetics makeup and for the main price the new and limited Paris Palette from Sigma.

This Palette was created by a bunch of Beauty Gurus on Youtube like Jen from FrmHeadToToe, MakeupByTiffanyD and Xparkage. It comes with 7 Eyeshadows, 2 Blushes, a Highlighter and 2 Makeup Brushes (a large angle contour brush and a flat shader brush).

I have to say i am very, very impressed with the quality of these eyeshadows. They are highly pigmented -even the matte colours- and very easy to apply and blend. The Blushes are very good quality as well even though i think they are a little bit too dark for my skin tone. As for the highlighter, it is not glittery or shimmery, it just adds a nice sheen to your face. The travel sized Brushes are  -obviously- really good quality.

And last but not least the Packaging: It is absolutely GORGEOUS. I love it.

And here are my three favourite Colours...

                                                                         Versailles

                                                                      Notre Dame

                                                                             Orsay

Have a happy summer! XOXO Carolina

My thoughts about Brandy Melville

When i was in Italy last week, I got to go to a Brandy Melville Store. Of course i was super duper excited! In the U.S. this Brand is already really popular and hyped about, however, we do not have this store in Austria, where i live. I have seen Stuff from there on tons of Blogs, TeenVogue.com, and in some fashion videos on youtube. Especially LoLuFullyLoaded (check out her blog, her Style I AH-MAZING) seems to like this brand a lot.
The way i would describe their Style is: Edgy, Fun, Young, A little bit of Prep, a little bit of Rock'n Roll.  I think the Reason this Store is popular with so many people is that it features very many different pieces for people with different styles. For instance, you will see a black skull bracelet right next to a preppy handbag or a cute girly dress.
Another thing that drew me in was the way the sore was decorated. There were many pictures on the wall and it was just overall SO IMPRESSIVE!
Since it is a little bit more expensive then other Stores i usuallly buy from, i only purchased one Item for the Fall (a blue and white striped hoodie with a high-low-hem).
Unfortunately i wasn't able to take any pictures but you can also check out the Brandy Melville Official Website if you are interested!
